Although Seger was new to the technical field after his international business studies, he soon discovered something special at Valk Welding: "What I like about technology is that your product is usually a solution to a customer's problem. I really like that." It’s no different here, and Huib explains how we achieve this as a cobot company for system integrators, OEMs, end users and more: "We supply the most suitable Techman cobot with optional accessories to one of our system integrator partners. The integrator then turns this into a complete cobot setup and installs the total at the end customer's site."
Thinking along and adding value
Techman Robot Inc, distributed by Valk Welding, wants to add value by being more than just a distributor. "We hope to show the whole network the difference between a distributor and a distributor plus", says Seger enthusiastically. Business Unit Manager Huib also has a clear idea of how this will be achieved: "By providing cobot knowledge, software and process-oriented thinking. We also make suggestions that we can supply ourselves, such as a tooling solution for a cobot, a mobile table or a height-adjustable column.
Training facilities
In the coming period, the team also plans to focus more on the provision of training. "We want to offer our relations the opportunity to keep up to date with the rapid developments in the field of software through an up-to-date range of training courses", says Huib. "In this way, we try to transfer as much programming knowledge and skills as possible, so that our relations can move forward independently."
Experience centre
In addition to more opportunities for training and feasibility testing, the company has set its sights on taking the overall experience of its premises to the next level. "We also have the desire to host more events at our premises," the gentlemen reveal, "so that Techman Robot Inc. distributed by Valk Welding can really add extra value to the market."
